Bentscher covers
The Yiddish word bentsch means "to bless" or to recite blessings. A bentscher (bencher, benscher; in Hebrew, shiron) is a special little songbook used at a Jewish festive meal, containing the Grace After Meals and the sheva brachot (wedding blessings), usually in addition to many other common table songs. Traditional Jewish wedding receptions are not complete without a bentscher personalized for the couple, to be taken home by the guests as wedding favors. Traditional Jewish homes, accordingly, are not complete without an extensive collection of mismatched bentschers from every wedding ever attended.
